Valeriia Koiava is a Ukrainian artist based in Kropyvnytskyi, working primarily in painting — each piece built slowly, in layers, until an image feels alive rather than finished.
Her paintings hold still what usually passes too quickly — a gaze, a bloom, a quiet distance between two people. Some paintings resolve quickly. Others she returns to again and again, over years, until they're right. What stays constant is the honesty in the work: "Art is born from an inner need, not from calculation."
Beyond painting, she works across photography, jewelry, interior design, and teaches painting and drawing through her own studio, Artlab.
